By feeling, it is a bit rude for boys to use ore, but not rude for those who use boku.

After doing this project, I learnt how to read comics...XD although I have read comics for 1-2 times...
Reading Japanese comics is a bit time consuming. However, I felt happy and enjoyed reading them. The comics are also nice. Also, I can some Japanese at the same time.

I like using watashi because I think it is common for people to use it. Atashi is specific for girls and males cannot use it. I don’t like to be so special.

The earthquake, tsunami and radiation blast in Japan are really shocked
Many people lost homes, even lives.
I really appreciate the Japanese...so good!!
They are so self-discipline and patient and calm.
They put down enmity and help foreigners, even the Chinese.
50 heros are willing to sacrifice their lives to save the country.
I believe that it is all due to LOVE!!!
I hope that Japan can have a recovery as soon as possible....
Wish that people have hope and materials for their basic needs.

On the other hand, there is also earthquakae in Yunnan. in China.
Pray for these countries!!

my trip to Japan

After AL exam, I went to Tokyo with my friend. This is the first time to travel by plane. XD I felt so happy and excited. We went to many places.
I like animals so that I enjoy the time in the Zoos, such as 上野動物園and Sea Paradise. The design of aquarium in Dolphin Fantasy is so marvellous. It seems that I am also in the sea.=) A scene in "1リットルの涙" is taken there.
I think the convenient stores in Japan is different from that in H.K. Many products there cannot be found in H.K., such as onigiri. It may relate to the Japanese culture that they usually eat sushi. Tiramisu in a small plastic box and a can of Cocktail can also bought in a convenient store.
There are many vending machines on the pedistrian road in Japan. I like pressing on the machines to buy drinks as I think it is interesting. Also, there are different products in the machines.
I appreciate that there is smoking areas in Japan although they are also present in H.K. I think I can hardly discover someone is smoking on the street, except the smoking areas. If H.K. is also like this, I would be glad for it.
As my Japanese is not so good, I can hardly to hear and understand what they are telling. Fortunately, we can communicate with body language. I think it is also a good experience for me. I think the Japanese is friendly. One day, my friend and I wanna take photos. We seek 3 girls (there) for help and they are willing to help us. =)

Japanese Writing Projects 1

I found some examples of hiragana, katakana and kanji from newspaper, magazines and shops and advertisements.

For the Katakana, it can be used as loan words and emphasized words.

Loan words :

Char Siu (barbecued pork) : チャーシュー

Wine : ワイン
America : アメリカ (country name)

Emphasized words :

サイコー

I found this on a post. Usually, we write さいこう instead of サイコー. It uses サイコー because the author want to emphasize that the influence of  The Analects of Confucius(論語).

 I found that a post use hiragana as onomatopoeia.

 Onomatopoeia :  みゃ～みゃ～
It is the sound of cats.

Hiragara can also used to show the main subject.

In this case, こども is written. The advertisement probably want to stick out the word "children". Hence, "子供" is not used. If "子供" is used, there will be many kanji exsisting in the title. I t may make the readers feel confused.

Here is a Japanese restaurant in Sai Ying Poon. The romaji written with the shop's name can help foreigners who are not Chinese or Japanese to understand the name of the shop. The foreigners can be able to read the name of shops. If they want to search for this shop, they can pronounce the romaji to ask people about its location.

There is a menu with Japanese shown outside the shop. The restaurant owner may want to attract some Japanese living there.



"Fujitsu" is romaji and is the brand name of the computer. It also allows people to read it. If customers do not understand Japanese, they are not able to pronounce the word in hiragana or katakana.

Hence, Romaji is convenient for foreigners ro pronounce the words.
